book hoard
A list of some of the books I've gotten my claws onto paper copies of! You can count this as a list of books I like, but definitely an incomplete one - there are plenty of books I like and don't have a copy of in paper, and there are plenty of books in my corporeal dwelling that I haven't listed here.
classics etc.
- Brave New World, Aldous Huxley. Haven't read it. Third-hand gift.
- Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle. IDK, man. Bad scan, decent binding. Features the manmade lacunae known as '.PDF corruption'.
- Richard III, William Shakespeare. No Fear Shakepeare edition, picked up as-new in second-hand bookstore, with plenty of room for annotations!
- The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Found serendipitously in second-hand bookstore, in quite good condition.
Discworld
- Carpe Jugulum, Pterry. Collector's Library Edition. OSDD representation...?
- Feet of Clay, Pterry. By far the most battered of my Discworld Collector's Library Edition books, because it's by far the most re-read.
- Guards! Guards!, Pterry. Collector's Library Edition.
- Jingo, Pterry. Collector's Library Edition.
- Men at Arms, Pterry. Collector's Library Edition.
- Night Watch, Pterry. Collector's Library Edition. They rise knees up, knees up...
- Reaper Man, Pterry. Collector's Library Edition.
- The Truth, Pterry. Paperback. Got its boots on.
- Witches Abroad, Pterry. Collector's Library Edition.
misc. fiction
- Conclave, Robert Harris. Movie cover edition.
- A Game of Thrones, GRRM.
- Name of the Rose, Umberto Eco. Re-covered by me because it was a movie-cover version from the 1986 film and I didn't want Sean Connery staring at me.
misc. nonfiction
- Dæmon Voices, Philip Pullman.
- Dark Archives, Megan Rosenbloom. This is a tastefully-covered(! in paper) little book about anthropodermic bibliopegy.
- How a Game Lives, Jacob Geller. I am very happy to have been able to pre-order and recieve a copy of this wonderful book.
- Twelve Ceasers, Mary Beard.
- What If?, Randall Munroe. What if the world was made of pudding?
poetry
- Devotions, Mary Oliver. Definitely one of my favourite books of all time.
- Useless Magic, Florence Welch.
- War of the Foxes, Richard Siken. Honestly my favourite Siken book even though I love the disability arts of I Do Know Some Things.
Star Wars
Star Wars reference
- The Art of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Aaron Contreras.
- The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, Daniel Wallace. Vault Edition!.
- Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide, Pablo Hidalgo.
- Scum and Villainy, Pablo Hidalgo.
- Star Wars Bestiary, Vol. 1: Creatures of the Galaxy, S.T. Bende.
- Women of the Galaxy, Amy Ratcliffe.
Star Wars novel
- The Princess and the Scoundrel, Beth Revis.
- Rogue One, Alexander Freed.
- Revenge of the Sith, Matthew Stover.
- The Old Republic: Annihilation, Drew Karpyshyn. The Essential Legends Collection edition, THANK GOD, not the original cover. It features Theron's fight with Darth Kharrid in a beautiful impressionistic painting style!.
Tolkien
- An Atlas of Tolkien, David Day. It has a green cover, which I like.
- Lord of the Rings, JRRT. Hardback one-volume illustrated anniversary edition! A very lavish gift I really appreciate.. problem is it's too big to read easily in bed.
- The Nature of Middle-earth, JRRT, ed. Carl F. Hostetter.
- The Science of Middle-Earth, ed. Lehoucq, Mangin & Steyer.
- The Silmarillion, JRRT, ed. Christopher Tolkien.
- Unfinished Tales, JRRT, ed. Christopher Tolkien.
