Sister Christina Voigt (CSSE) is administrator of the Holy See’s small “in-house” medical team. She is in a relationship of some kind with Sister Agnes.
Biography
Early Years
Christina Voigt was born in Bavaria in Germany. One of her elder cousins was Joseph Ratinger.
Nursing
She joined a nursing order (the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Elizabeth) to nurse, but was quickly shuffled over into heavy administration, where her greatest talents lied.
Vatican
Eventually she was sent by her order to the Vatican, where her cousin ignored her and ordered her out of his sight, afraid of being associated with someone of her appearance (visibly intersex). After the election of Pope Innocent, she was delighted that the new Pope had experience in hospital administration, and even more delighted to find that he sometimes spoke with her.
Personality
She is diagnosed as autistic, and used reactions to this as a litmus test - if someone was wary or repulsed, she decides there is no use trying to deal with them directly, and sends somebody else instead. No-nonsense and stern but with a very keen sense of humour, she lives by the principle of tending the sick - if what she is doing does not further that in some way, then she needs to be doing something else.
Appearance
Christina is intersex, with late onset congenital adrenal hyperplasia. She was one of the first people to know that Innocent was intersex, by a combination of her role, strict ethics, and the fact that she was Like Him. She hass a slight beard + moustache that she adamantly refuses to shave. (Agnes thinks it is nice. That is not why she doesn't, but it is a bonus.)
