Known for her silver tongue, delicately worded threats, and dedication to the subtler powerplays of Sith politics, Olwena Puir is fittingly named as ‘Darth Astutia’ (Latin (or Old High Galactic), cunning, shrewdness, trick). Behind her brutally pragmatic ways is a secret light, and desperate desire to protect everyone she holds dear - including her five apprentices, the entire class Overseer Harkun wanted to set against each other and Korriban until only one remained.
Olwena is a nerd, and very affectionate with her crew (all of the canon Inquisitor companions, + Athelis Kallis, Seferiss, Jaxon, & Argog.) She also regularly has flings, seducing powerful women for influence and information across the Empire.
Her ship is called Kalalonsewi, “fish up high,” in Toki Pona, and, in-universe, something similar in one of her homeworld’s languages.
Biography
The daughter of a civil leader on a world subjugated by the Empire, she was taught the ways of organising beings at a young age by her father. She was taken by the Empire in revenge for his attempt at an uprising, and sent to work as a slave on another world building an underwater drilling mechanism - but one day, seeing a chance to escape she refused to surface. When Imperial soldiers came after her, she awoke her potential in the Force, putting her father’s lessons to use and coordinating every marine creature in a large radius to attack the soldiers and defend her in unison. She was captured nevertheless (gaining a scar on her palm as she grasped an idol in desperation, and it broke and cut into her) and taken to become an acolyte in a Sith Academy slave cohort - with twisted deference to her father’s rank, the central Academy on Korriban.
She found out Thanaton’s backstory, and early, and had thought he would be on her side and accepted his summons to the tombs in good faith. She thought they were going to change things together.
Olwena eventually married Athelis Kallis.
